HUNGER APPEAL

N.Z. Total £213,000 (N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 30. New Zealanders gave £162,000 to the C.0.R.5.0 Freedom From Hunger Appeal on Saturday—£23,ooo more than last year. Minor country centres, which have not yet sent in their returns, last year contributed a collection-day total of £12,000. Not included in these centres is Northland which will be canvassed on June 19.
