EXPORTS OF WOOL
Rise During February
Exports of wool from New Zealand during April were 10,765 bales higher at 225,429 bales than the consignment sent in April of last year, but exports in the first 10 months of this year are still less than in the same period last year.
So far, 1,257,590 bales have been shipped overseas: but this is 133,421 bales, or 9.6 per cent, less than last year
European Economic Com munity countries still take most wool. France, with 172,489 bales, is the third largest importer of wool from New Zealand, behind only the United Kingdom and the United States. Export Figures
Details of wool entered for export in the 10 months to April 30, with the percentage share of the total shipped to each of the .main destinations, are as follows:
Quill Morris. —Final dividend of 7$ per cent, making a steady 12i per cent for the year, is recommended by directors of Quill Morris, Christchurch wine and spirit merchants and cor dial manufacturers. Dividend will be paid on June 28, ex dividend June 14.—(PA.)
Rights Quoted. — Quotation of rights to the New Zealand Far mers Fertiliser’s issue of ord inary shares has been granted on the recommendation of the Auckland Stock Exchange, according to the New Zealand Stock Exchange Association (P.A.)
