Recaptured Escaper

AUCKLAND, May 7.
Edward Ratana. who escaped from custody by jumping out of the window of a house in Freemans Bay on Wednesday night, was recaptured at 10 p.m. today. After a man answering his description was seen in Grafton, a police cordon was set up around the area. Patrol cars and dog teams were rushed to the district.
Ratana had escaped while police were searching the house where he was arrested.
