SEWING MACHINE NEED
WELLINGTON, May 3. The Council of Volunteer Service Abroad is seeking discarded hand or treadle sew-ing-machines for use in Southeast Asia and the Pacific area.
“The teaching of homesewing fulfils this purpose admirably and New Zealand housewives who can supply machines will be making a fine gesture of friendship to neighbouring peoples,” he said.
