BLASTED BY TIMEBOMB

U.S. Consulate In Montreal (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copy right) MONTREAL, May 2. A bomb exploded between two buildings of the United States Consulate in Montreal early today, causing heavy damage. Authorities feared more explosives may have been planted. The time-charge, believed to have been dynamite, tore through a walkway and shattered more than 75 windows. Six doors were blasted. There were no injuries. Police and firemen began a painstaking investigation of the Consulate to determine if additional explosives had been planted. The explosion occurred at 1.20 a.m. The Consulate was closed for the weekend and was unoccupied when the blast went off.
