Mothercraft Talks
The tutor sister had completed a series of mothercraft talks at Burwood Training Centre and several secondary schools, says a report from the monthly meeting of the Christchurch branch of the Plunket Society. There had been 307 new baby cases, 2157 visits to homes of babies, 2921 visits of babies to Plunket rooms, and 1088 pre-school children examined, reported the charge sister. Seventy-seven requests were received by the Karitane bureau during March, and of these 46 were helped by Karitane nurses, said the report.
Demonstration.—Mrs G. M. Sanson presided at the recent monthly meeting of the Electrical Association for Women held in the M.E.D. committee room. Mrs M. Burrows demonstrated cooking with an electric frying pan.
