RISING OF THE CLAN
In three of the four senior Rugby League teams playing at the Addington Show Grounds on Saturday the first tryscorer had the surname of Williams. The Christchurch wing, J. Williams, scored two tries in his team’s win, including the first of the match. When Linwood retaliated, its forward, B. Williams, scored a try against Christchurch. In the other match the young Hornby player, T. Williams, scored the first try of the game and later scored two more and kicked two goals. Papanui’s first try was scored by S. Dunn, but then Papanui lacked a Williams.
