EXPANSION OF FACTORY
Aulsebrook’s Calls Tenders
Tenders would be called this week for a 30,000 sq. ft. extension to the Christchurch factory of Aulsebrook and Company, Ltd., said a joint managing director of the company (Mr R. G. Pearce). The new block, he said, would front St. Asaph street. “This expansion will enable us to extend our biscuit making capacity by 25 per cent,” said Mr Pearce. He hoped the extensions would be occupied by October. Mr Pearce said that Waddell’s foundry had been demolished to make way for the extensions. To provide for further expansion, he said, the company had recently bought the premises of Modern Motor Bodies, Ltd.
