More Seamen In Court
(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON, April 30. ' Two more seamen, charged with being absent without leave from the New Zealand Star, at Nelson, appeared in Court today. Thirty-seven of their shipmates came before Mr G. A. Nicholls, S.M., yesterday. The two, Michael Devine, a greaser, and Maurice Tait, a junior officer steward, pleaded guilty and were each fined £5. The Magistrate ordered the men to be held in custody until they were placed on board ship. The vessel sailed for Napier yesterday.
