Advice To Women
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. April 28. The “golden girl” of the 1956 Melbourne Olympics and the 1964 Olympic 400-metre champion. Miss Betty Cuthbert, today had advice for New Zealand's women athletes. It was: Women should not take on the 440 yards. 880 yards and mile events unless they are well conditioned for these.
