View From A Bridge
Sir, —The southern approaches give a visitor from the south his first impression of Christchurch. Many of the industries along the route have dealt with this in an excellent manner. However, the Sockburn overhead bridge gives a very good view, already slightly marred. I hope the Paparua County Council will make an effort to keep the remaining area on the city side of the bridge in keeping with the excellent job done by the motor assembly company. It certainly is time Sockburn people took more interest in their town planning.—Yours, etc.. A STITCH IN TIME. April 28, 1965.
