Address To Writers
Court procedure in relationship to the writer’s conception of the machinery of the law was the subject of an address given by Mr C. M. Roper, Crown Solicitor, at a meeting of the Christchurch Writers’ Association. He was welcomed by the president (Mrs G. Comber). During the month the association entertained Mr Arthur Clifford, a visiting American writer and author of “Six Months Was Not Enough,” a book about New Zealand. Members of the W.E.A. Writers’ Fellowship and John O’London’s Literary Circle were present.
