REUNION OF CLASS
Kept In Touch
For 20 Years
Tomorrow 16 past pupils of Papanui Technical High School, who all entered the third form together 20 years ago, will meet for a reunion at Shirley Lodge. The organiser of the reunion, Mrs R. Palmer of Kaiapoi, said the commercial class had 21 pupils but the remaining four live in other parts of New Zealand. Four of the 16 now live in Kaiapoi, one at Leithfield and 11 in Christchurch. Over the years the class has kept in touch, remembering birthdays and wedding anniversaries. On one occasion a welcome home party was given for two members on their return from Australia at Mrs Palmer’s home.
Six years ago some of the group took their families to the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, to meet their former form mistress, Miss A. W. Hall, who was later headmistress of the school.
This will be the largest gathering on Saturday, said Mrs Palmer.
