GAVEL GIVEN TO FARMERS
Presentation By Y.F.C. Members of the Canterbury Council of the Young Farmers’ Clubs presented North Canterbury Federated Farmers with a mounted gavel to mark the occasion of the Y.F.C. council’s first meeting in the federation's new headquarters.
The presentation was made at the council’s meeting yesterday. Mr R. H. Bedford, the acting president, received the gavel. “This is the first occasion we have met in the federation’s new headquarters,” the Y.F.C. council chairman (Mr R. M. Sinclair), said. The gavel would mark this occasion and also mark a new stage in the co-operation between the Y.F.C. movement and Federated Farmers, he said.
