Boats Put Back

(N.Z. Press Association} INVERCARGILL, Feb. 17. By 10 o’clock this morning, six vessels of the Bluff oyster fleet were back in port, driven

from the oyster beds by a strong wind which rose soon after they went to sea about 4 a.m. Other boats of the fleet of 19 were back by noon.

First to return was the Medora with seven sacks. At 8.15 a.m. she was followed at regular intervals by others. One of the boats brought 22 sacks in, another 16. All had taken some oysters before the wind forced them to head into port, The outlook for tomorrow is not good. The wind today was still high and the sky overcast.
