Noisy Motor-Cycles
Sir,—l forwarded clippings from your paper to the Minister of Transport on the above subject and have received the following reply: “I appreciate the interest and concern at the noise created by some of the smaller types of motor-cycles and mopeds. Provision is already made in' the traffic regulations for all motor-cycles to be fitted with a silencer, which must be effective and in good working order. I have asked the Commissioner of Transport to ar-
range for noise tests to be carried out on the smaller types of motor and power cycles and will be pleased to have a further look at the problem when the results of the tests are made known to me.” For the information of your correspondents I should be glad if you would publish this statement.—Yours, etc., E.C.
