STRIPTEASE STRIKE

The strip-tease strike in London's Soho district ended today in partial victory for the girls who refused to take ’em off. the “Daily Mirror" reported. Nine girls at one club were promised an extra £1 a week and shorter working hours, the newspaper said. But soma have been given the sack. Tonight the 100 strippen in 20 nearby Soho clubs were planning to form a union. The strike started on Monday at three clubs where the girls were doing six shows In a 12-hour day for £l7 a week. To support their demand for more pay they refused to strip. When the strike ended today three girls were looking for new jobs.
