Sire’s First Winner
Frosty Adios, the top-priced colt at the 1964 yearling sales at Addington credited his sire, Thurber Frost, with his first winner In Australia or New Zealand when he won a heat of the £lOOO Debutant Stakes at Bathurst, New South Wales, recently. Frosty Adios ,a half-brother to Jay Ar, cost the Sydney trainer, P. J. Hall, HOOgns last year. Hall passed him on to Mr J. Denham. Frosty Adios, a firm favourite at 5 to 4 for the final, had to be content with second place, 20 yards behind Green Light, a gelding by Morano from Luminescent, which is trained by F. W. Wilkins for Mr R. Croghan. The winner paced the eight furlongs and three-quar-ters at a mile rate of 2min llsec.
