BALLOON TRIPS

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 4. Visitors attending the pageant to commemorate the opening of Mangere International Airport in January will be able to take a trip in a Dutch balloon.

Plans are also being made for the 80-foot hydrogen-filled balloon to carry mail with a special postmark.

The secretary of the pageant committee, Captain J. H. Malcolm, said today arrangements for the balloon to appear at Mangere were now complete.

It would be brought to New Zealand by air just before the pageant with a crew of three, including Dr. John Boesman and Mrs Boesman, members of The Hague Balloon Club, of Holland.
