FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone is moving eastwards on to New Zealand. Forecast: Canterbury.—Winds mainly moderate northeasterlies; fine, with warm day temperatures. Outlook: mainly fine. Buller and Westland.—Moderate to fresh south-west winds predominating; variable skies, with a few isolated showers on the ranges; temperatures rising. Outlook: cloudy, with a few scattered showers in the south. Nelson and Marlborough.—Moderate winds, mainly north or north-west but north-east on the Kaikoura Coast; fine and warm.
