N.Z. Glider Pilot Successful
(N.Z. Press Association) MELBOURNE, January 4.
A New Zealand glider pilot, P. Heginbotham, emerged as a winner at the week-end in the national gliding championships at Benalla, about 1230 miles north of Melbourne.
The race, over 152 miles, from Benalla to Echuca and back, saw all competitors forced to land before completing the trip. Heginbotham landed after 111 miles, five miles ahead of the second placegetter.
