LTD., 86 Gloucester street, CHRISTCHURCH. 7437 HALSWELL COUNTY COUNCIL SEWERAGE LOAN, 1964 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Halswell County Council held at the Council Chambers, 381 Halswell road, Halswell, on Thursday, the 17th day of December, 1964, the following Resolution by way of Special Order was passed and will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order at a meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Chambers. 381 Halswell road. Halswell, on Thursday, the 21st day of January, 1965, at 1 p.m. RESOLUTION THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers invested in it by the “Counties Act, 1956,” “The Local Authority Loans Act, 1956,” and all amendments thereto and all other acts and powers enabling in that behalf and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted at a Meeting of that Board on the 3rd day of November, 1964, THE COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES by way of Special Order to proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan to be known as the “SEWERAGE LOAN, 1964,” for the sum of ONE HUNDRED AND TWELVE THOUSAND POUNDS (£112,000) for the purpose of providing a Sewerage System for the Special Sewerage Area of the Halswell County subject to the following determinations:

1. The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be thirty years. 2. The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding 5i per centum per annum. 3. The said loan or any part thereof together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in Clause 1 hereof. 4. The payment of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalments shall be paid out of loan moneys. 5. The rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent of any amount raised. 6. No money shall be borrowed after the expiration of three years from the date of sanction by the Local Authority Loans Board. 7. That the Council employ a trained Sewerage Treatment Plant Operator to control the treatment plant to be installed by the Council. AND NOTICE IS FURTHER HEREBY GIVEN that a poll of the ratepayers in the said area is required to be taken if five per cent of the ratepayers of such area so demand by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Halswell County Council at 381 Halswell road, Halswell, and received at the Office of the Council not iater than the 20th day of January, 1965, being the day before the date fixed for the confirmation of the Resolution to raise the said Special Loan.
