Bright Coral Wins First Leg At New Plymouth

NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 28. The Hawera-owned and trained Bright Coral, gave a fine exhibition to win the President’s Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double, on the second day of the Taranaki Jockey Club’s Christmas meeting today. Super Time won the second leg, the Inglewood Handicap. The track was firm and fast. The weather was excellent and there was a large crowd. K. A. Foss, rider of Outspan in the Inglewood Handicap, was suspended up to 5 p.m. next Monday for causing interference to Waitaha and Que'n's Poet.
