Record Traffic Out Of Auckland
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 28. A record total of 193,923 vehicles used the Great South road beyond the motorway out of Auckland in five days to 9 a.m. today. The Transport Department believes, however, that this could well be exceeded by the biggest concentration of traffic ever recorded anywhere in New Zealand when holiday-makers set out for home on the week-end of January 9 and 10.
