APPLICATION REJECTED
No Permit To Visit N.Z. (N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. Dec. 27. A letter from Mrs Ranjeet Singh, formerly Miss Carol Shepherd, of Waitara, to her brother-in-law, Mr Mangal Singh, says an application by her husband for permanent residence in New Zealand has been rejected by the Immigration Department. Mr Ranjeet Singh, who is a Fijian Indian, was ordered to return to Fiji last month because his permit for temporary residence in New Zealand had expired. He married Miss Shepherd just before leaving New Plymouth.
In her letter Mrs Singh says the immigration forms had been returned to her husband marked "don’t want to consider this case at all ”
