Nativity Play In Bar
More than 300 persons watched the Theatre Arts Guild’s presentation of “Nativity,” by Father John Weir, in the bar of the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association at closing time on Christmas Eve. It was only the second time the play had been given in a bar; but it has been performed about 50 times in churches and in the open. Archdeacon W. M. Davies and the Rev. Father J. Cunneen welcomed the audience at the R.S.A. and the patron of this year’s presentation (Mr H. J. Walker, M.P.) thanked the actors.
