Thirty-six bands have entered for the 1965 national brass band championships which are to be held in Auckland from May 12 to 16 Entries are as follows

B Grade.—Hamilton Citizens, Hawera Municipal. Addington Workshops. Wanganui Garrison, Wellington Metro. Fire Brigade, Onslow Brass, Napier City. Lower Hutt Civic, New Plymouth City, Mt. Roskill Municipal. Northern Military Districts, Queen Alexandra’s Own, Christchurch Fire Brigade. C Grade.—Nelson Garrison, Otahuhu Municipal, New Lynn Citizens, Levin Municipal, Upper Hutt Municipal, Te Awamutu Municipal. Whangarei Municipal, City of Rotorua Municipal. D Grade.—Timaru Boys' High School, Howick and Districts Citizens, Ponsonby Boys' Brass Band, Marton Municipal, Danr.evirke Municipal, Tauranga Fire Brigade, Stratford Citizens, Takapuna City.
