Motel Tariffs
Sir, —An explanation of the increase in motel tariffs, based on “per person” charges, seems to be needed. The cost of linen for onenight stayers is our greatest difficulty. Weekly tariffs are a decided advantage to us to encourage people to stay longer, and they also save considerable care. The one-night stayers are the ones that cost time and money. Why place this burden on the shoulders of our longer stayers? Charge the person who causes the work this cost. My experience is that small parties cause just as much or more damage as large ones. —Yours, etc., MOTEL PROPRIETOR. December 14. 1964.
