LOCKSMITH’S BURSARY
University Next Year
"The Press" Special Service WELLINGTON. Dec. 22.
An adult education bursary has been awarded Mr G. G. Power, a locksmith at Wellington Hospital, who has this year attended extension classes in introductory psychology and elementary Spanish at the Victoria University of Wellington. The three-year bursary allows study for a Bachelor of Arts or other university qualification without payment of tuition fees. Upon approval a longer tenure may be granted. Mr Power intends studying psychology and English at Stage I level next year. The bursary is available to selected students who wish to study for degree subjects and have attended classes organised by the university’s adult education department. The department wishes to encourage the trend for adults who have begun their studies in extension courses to enrol for degree courses.
