(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) ADELAIDE, Dec. 21. Rain and the threeday limit on play brought the PakistanSouth Australian match at Adelaide Oval today to its expected conclusion—a draw.

Rain delayed the start of play by 15 minutes and stopped play 11 minutes before tea. The umpires abandoned the match 93 minutes before stumps.

After an unbeaten 110 by Hanif Mohammad and a fine 50 not out from Masudal Hassan, the Pakistanis closed their innings at six for 490 — a lead of 179 over South Australia’s first innings total of 311.

In 149 minutes’ batting, South Australia, headed by a dashing 71 (78 minutes, 12 fours) from its captain, L. Favell, got 165 runs for the

loss of three wickets in its second innings. With Masudul, who batted most attractively, Hanif put on 117 runs in 89 minutes for the seventh wicket.

Hanif, who was celebrating his thirtieth birthday today, reached his thirty-ninth firstclass century after batting for 173 minutes and hitting 12 fours, and was at the wicket for 194 minutes for 110 runs.

Hanif’s batting consistency has been remarkable on this four-match tour of Australia.

Hanif has played in three matches, scoring 95 (Queens-

land), 104 and 93 (Australia) and his unbeaten 110 in the present match has given him 402 runs at the astronomical average of 134.
