The Congo

Sir,—“Cosmosian’s” reference to the Congo seems to be in the nature of a red herring. The trouble there is due to cold war intrusions. Marxism seems, however, to be headed for a stalemate. It is _ not in the nature of religion and cannot create a real bond between Russia and China. Marxism is, in fact, merely a screen for national aspiration or the tribal instinct. In the councils of the West, religion has a real influence.—Yours, etc.,
