Trainers And Drivers
G. B. Noble is in front on the list of leading trainers and R. Young on the list of drivers at meetings run to November 21, inclusive, according to figures published in the New Zealand Trotting Calendar.
Noble, who had a long lead early in the season, has now trained the winners of 19 races, but his lead has been reduced to one by C. S. Donald. J. S. and C. S. Hunter are in third place with 15 wins, while D. G. Jones, J. D. bitten and R. Purdon have each had 10 wins.
Young has had 16 driving successes, placing him one in front of G. B. Noble. C. S. Hunter and M. Holmes with 13, R. P. Nyhan, with 12, and D. G. Jones, with 11, are the only others with double-figure totals.
