The photograph above shows the heavy rock which was placed in the harbour. This photograph was taken in the early days of the reclamation. On the right, the first crane for the new berths is being hoisted into position. Twelve of these five-ton portal travelling cranes will be installed on the new wharf. They will be equipped to grab bulk cargoes when necessary.
