Controlling Raw Sugar

TOKYO, Nov. 27.
The Japanese Ministry of Agriculture has proposed to the sugar industry that a new semi - official organisation should be set up to handle raw sugar imports in the interest of price stabilisation, a spokesman said today. The plan has been worked out to create a buffer to prevent violent fluctuations in the international sugar markets from affecting domestic Japanese prices of sugar, the Ministry said.
