Stolle, today coasted into the final of the men’s singles in the New South Wales tennis championships at Sydney’s White City courts. Stolle beat the number three seed, J. Newcombe, in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. 6-4. He will meet in the final the winner of tomorrow's second semi-final between R. Emerson and W. Bowrey. Results: Men’s Singles.—Semi-final: F. Stolle (Aust.) beat D. J. Newcombe (Aust.), 6-2, 6-4, 6-4. Women’s Singles.—Semi-final: Miss M. Smith (Vic.) beat Miss J. Tegart (Vic.), 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. Men's Doubles.—Final: R. Emerson and F. Stolle beat O. Davidson and W. 0. Bowery, 5-7, 6-3. 6-2, 6-4.
