HOME “GREAT SUCCESS”
Crippled Children Benefit The' Harry T. Adams holiday home for crippled children, which was opened in New Brighton about 18 months ago, had been a great success, the secretary of the Crippled Children Society (Mrs M. L. Bernacchi), said yesterday. About 50 families had used the home since it opened, and it was fully booked until the end of February next year. All who had stayed in the home had been most appreciative of the first-class conditions, said Mrs Bernacchi. Families had come from as far as Blenheim, Alexandra and the West Coast. The home, which consists of two units in Lonsdale street, is available free to any family which has a child registered with any branch of the society. Families may stay for 10 days in the summer holidays and 14 days at other times.
