Child Falls From Car
. A boy aged two opened a back door of a car his mother was driving in Soberton street, Wainoni, yesterday afternoon and fell on to the road. The boy, Paul Greene, of 121 Aidershot street, suffered head and rib injuries. He was taken to the Christchurch Hospital. The injuries were not serious, and ■ he was allowed to be taken home after treatment. “He was very lucky. Fortunately, the car was slowing down to stop,” the boy’s father, Mr E. L. Greene, said last evening. “My wife was more upset than Paul, I think.”
