MR D. H. YOLLASD (U.Z. Press Association > AUCKLAND, November 17. Mr Dudley Henry Yolland, a member of the Textile Council and a prominent figure in the textile trade, has died in Auckland. He was 58. Mr Yolland was born in Bristol, and came to New Zealand with his parents in 1924. He joined the Classic Manufacturing Company, Ltd. in 1939 and became a director of the firm 10 years later. He was president of the Women’s and Girls’ Outerwear Manufacturers’ Federation from 1953 to 1955, chairman of the Auckland District Garment Committee from 1960 to 1963, and of the Garment-Sizing Committee of the Standards Institute from 1963.
Mr Yolland was president of the Textile and Garment Manufacturers' Federation and of its industrial union of employers from 1963 until the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
