ANTHOLOGY OF BATTLE
Captain Among Signatories (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, Nov. 18. Admiral Sir Edward Parry, who commanded the cruiser Achilles at the Battle of the River Plate, is among those who are signing 33 speciallybound copies of a documentary anthology of the battle to be published shortly. They are to be sold at auction and profits are to go to the King George’s fund for sailors. The anthology is by Sir Eugen Millington-Drake, who was British Minister to Uruguay at the time of the battle. He is to sail soon for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Battle of Montevideo where, with several senior British naval officers, he will be present at a memorial service at the Protestant Cemetery. This will be attended by some of the 500 members of the German Graf Spee Association now living in South America.
Commander Diggins, flag lieutenant of the Graf Spee, is among those, who with Sir Edward Parry, will sign the specially-bound copies of the anthology.
