Aerobatic Trophy Competition
Flight Lieutenant K. A. Gayfer, a former Sunderland pilot, won the Lawson Aerobatic Trophy in a competition held at the Royal New Zealand Air Force station, Wigram. Six pilots competed Six pilots competed. The competition was open to students at the Central Flying School who are being trained as flying instructors. The judges were the officer commanding the flying wing (Wing Commander R. A. Mackinder, the officer commanding the administration wing (Wing Commander J. Claydon), and the officer commanding the flying training squadron (Squadron Leader D. M. Cooks).
