Big Fish
A 161 b brown trout, caught at the Rakaia mouth, about 10 days ago, had already been entered in the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society’s 1964-65 “Fish-of-the-Year” competition, said a council member, Mr D. M. Brown, in an interview after the society’s annual general meeting last evening. The trout, he said, was caught on a lure. It exceeded the biggest trout caught in the society’s area last season by about 31b.
