Baby Contest To Raise Funds
The Christchurch Young Men’s Christian Association, which has leased a property in Wainui for an annual boys’ camp since 1929, now has the opportunity of buying the land for £3500. The national council of the Y.M.C.A. has granted £5OO towards the cost from the funds made available by the Government for Y.M.C.A. work.
To help to raise the remainder, the Christchurch Lions Club will hold a baby photographic competition early next year. There will be 300 entries, 30 in each heat and a penny a vote will decide the winner.
