THIEF LIT FIRES
Money Stolen fN.Z. Press Association! PALMERSTON N„ Nov. 6. Business records were burnt and a sum of money was stolen when the offices of Mr P. G. Cope, public accountant, in Progress Buildings, Broadway avenue, Palmerston North, were broken into last night. The fire was discovered by Mr Cope on his arrival this [morning and there was evidence of several fires having been lit in the main office. In two places in the main office the fire had burned through the flooring. The money was stolen from a drawer. Entry to the building was gained by a fanlight.
