Mariner Fails
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) CAPE KENNEDY, Nov. 6. The first attempt to send a spacecraft on a picture-taking journey near the planet Mars was declared a complete failure early today. Officials of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration said at a news conference they believed the trouble came about five minutes after an apparently perfect launching yesterday when a 3001 b heat shroud failed to eject.
