Brother Patrick, of the Society of St. Francis, Cerne Abbas, Dorchester, Dorset, wants to get in touch with Nicolas Errls Speke. Brother Patrick, in a letter to “The Press,” says that Mr Speke lived within his community as a boy and later went to New Zealand. Attempts to trace Mr Speke through the New Zealand Immigration Department have proved fruitless, but the friary has been told that Mr Speke was last located in Christchurch. Inquiries have also been made in the Wellington area, where it is believed a sister of Mr Speke lives, says Brother Patrick.
