Baby Injured When Car Overturns
Jennifer May Crampton, aged seven weeks, suffered head injuries when the car her father, Mr M. T. Crampton, a school teacher, of Duvauchelle, was driving overturned near Birdlings Flat on the Christchurch-Akaroa highway yesterday morning. The baby was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, where her condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory. The car became out of control on the wet surface of the road near a sharp bend. Mr Crampton was not hurt. The baby was in a bassinet on the back seat of the car.
