MEDICAL APPEAL
£lO,OOO Target “Very Close”
It was expected that the Canterbury target of £lO,OOO in the “March of Medicine” appeal would be reached this month, said the regional chairman of the appeal (Mr J. A. White) yesterday. Mr White said that the Hotel and Restaurant Employees’ Union had given £lOO, and it was understood that other trade unions in Canterbury would soon consider the appeal. “It has been splendidly supported by business houses, organisations, and individuals,” said Mr White. The total subscribed was very close to £lO,OOO.
