Body Found In Sand
(N.Z. Press Association) WHANGAREI, Nov. 2. The body of John Allan Smart, who went missing from Bland Bay on August 30, while out fishing in a boat, was found partly covered with sand on a beach about nine miles south by a local resident yesterday. A search party failed to find Mr Smart after he went missing, but his boat was found submerged in about 40 feet of water. The body was brought to Whangarei.
