Report On Conference
A report on the 75th anniversary conference of the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Union, held recently in Dunedin, was given at the October meeting of the delegates’ council of the Christchurch Free Kindergarten Association, by its president, Mrs A. Steven. The resignation of Mrs S. K. Wardell from the council was accepted with regret at the meeting. Many applications had been received for student training at Christchurch Kindergarten College, several from other parts of New Zealand. It was hoped that construction would begin on the WainoniAranui kindergarten soon.
Mrs Steven thanked those who had helped in the association’s street appeal and market. The association had benefited by £2OOO because of their efforts, she said.
