I. H. Plummer (United) and J. Caradus (Akaroa) returned ;ood all-round performances in the Banks Peninsula subassociation’s senior cricket competition. Plummer made 67 not out and took four wickets for 59 runs and Caradus made 63 and took five for 48.
Results: Akaroa 207 (J. Caradus 63, T. Rhodes 27, P. Cook 69 not out; W. Newton 3/25, E. Turner 2/26, D. Beach 3/22) beat KaitUna 193 (N. Allen 46, E. Turner 43, E. Alien 20, M. Gebbie 29: J. Caradus 5/48. T. Rhodes 3/65) on the first innings. United 254/5 declared (Paul Haglund 78. D. Marshall 33, R. Kay 33. I. Plummer 67 not out, Peter Haglund 25; K. Abrams 2/41) drew with Little River 201/6 (L. Morrison 21, R. Lanauze 20, R. Newby 45, J. Humphries 54 not out, R. Davidson 21 not out; I. Plummer 4/59). Le Bons 189 (C. Mclntosh 74 not out, L. Inwood 27,. C. McKay 23, R. Small 23; D. McPhail 5/45, N. Manson 2/82, T. Hutchinson 2/8) beat Wainui 105 (I. T. Hutchinson 46; C. Gregg 2/49, J. Johnston 5/26. C. McKay 3/17).
